Another Calais Shawl

Made of Araucania Ranco again. A minute of silence for this discontinued colorway...

This is more like the real color.

The lacy pattern is somewhat lost in the variegated yarn. I knew from the very beginning this would happen but I couldn´t resist knitting this particular shawl with this particular yarn again. Surely multicolored yarn and lace pattern (or any kind of pattern in general) are not very best friends but I cannot say I dislike the result.

  1. The colors are WONDERFUL! It is a pity it was discontinued.
Everytime that I see the Araucarnía yarns I feel like home... they all have names of places in Chile, hehe.

  2. That´s cool. I was always thinking what the names could mean (and was lazy to google it). I LOVE Araucanía yarns! I got a package with the Nature Wool Multy and Louisa Harding Grace just today morning (Grace is spun in Italy but dyed in Chile). Plus a book with patterns. :-)
